we met an extremely pleasant landlord who was always reserved but helpful at all times! The house and location on the Atlantic Ocean are wonderful, not least the peace and quiet and the view won us over!

We arrived to their villa after a wonderful walk between cliffs and flowers. We were warmly welcomed by Mary who appeared to us like an Irish dream, followed by her very kind husband John. They immediately made us feel at home. We received an excellent meal that we could booked before and special treats to make us feel even more special. John drove us in the early morning to our bus in the village nearby after a giant breakfast and we received also from our hostess a delicious snack bag for our next step on the walk. Many thanks to both, until soon we hope to come again! Jorge & Pierre

Very warm rooms, welcoming and lovely staff, nice view of the sea from the dining hall. Breakfast table was nicely set for us (according to room number) and food made per customer request (one option - either full irish, eggs or porridge). There was an option to help yourself with hot tea and muffins late in the evening.

The cottage was great, it is out of the way - the nearest town Castletownbere is a few minutes drive away and there is a supermarket, restaurants... but the peace and quiet is wonderful, we had daily visits from pheasants in the courtyard. The cottage is excellently equipped, the rooms large, everything very clean - the landlord even provided us with fresh fruit and wood for the fireplace and there was also food in the fridge. There was only one problem, we had booked 2 bedrooms (which was confirmed) but the landlord had received confirmation from Booking for 1 bedroom. However, Declan responded immediately to our message and he then unlocked a 2nd bedroom for us. However, it was definitely not the landlord's fault, the error was with Booking.com - Declan responded promptly as described and was very nice. I can recommend the accommodation with full conviction.

Absolutely immaculate accommodation with lots of space and very friendly and helpful management. Well over and beyond the call of duty I'd say. Arrived late but it was no problem. Left to our own devices on the whole with advice on trips when needed. EXCELLENT.

The village is small but the access to all the Beara peninsula has to offer is great. We visited Dursey via cable car and that was a wonderful experience. The Beara Necessities cafe had delicious food!

The town is tiny and very colorful! There was no much to do in the town itself (but maybe due to the covid), but it's nice to wander around the village anyway, some old traditional shops ect... there are great hikes around! ... I went down to the beach and i wish i could have camped there :) not sure about bathing as there are stones and seaweeds, but it's beautiful!
