We liked literally everything! Breakfast was great, dinner at the golf club was so tasty, we had a lovely experience in the spa. Nothing felt rushed…The castle itself is beautiful and cozy . The staff was so friendly and helpful . Our room was clean , the bed was so comfort I didn’t wanna get out of it (lol). It was our 4th anniversary and I must say we had the best time ever!! Thank you 🏰🙏🏼

The 18th century home is about an hour SW of Dublin and for the price point, it was perfect for our trip. The house was gorgeous and well taken care of. In the morning she fixed us a full Irish breakfast and was able to accommodate the gf dietary restrictions. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained.

It’s not that it’s unfamily friendly it’s just that you won’t be able to experience all This place has to offer in terms of the spa as children aren’t allowed in and theirs limited days and availability for things happening for kids but it’s sheer beauty of a place is a must see

This is a very special vacation stay.

This is a very special vacation stay. The facilities were great. Food was excellent, staff were super friendly. The ambience was just what was hoped for. Such a history, heritage, so well preserved and still working today as it has since 1180AD. Will stay again for sure.

A great wedding venue or spa break.

A great wedding venue or spa break. Thought the lodges were same as carriage rooms no great difference. Stayed in both different times. Fab for an irish castle wedding as destination venue to couple from abroad. Birds of prey on site too. Wedding planner seemed very knowledgable she was chatting to a potential b and g. Receptionist was so funny chatting about baths! Bar man also friendly. A character. Get in a walk by river it’s so nice.

I loved the food, especially the fine dining at the castle. The atmosphere was amazing, great bar with a range of good cocktails, very friendly and welcoming place. The room was lovely and had an excellent shower. The breakfasts were amazing. They catered to my dietary requirements of being both vegan and gluten free.

Lovely warm and cosy castle hotel, friendly staff, excellent reception staff and very enjoyable dinner and breakfast in 1180 room. Bar prices very high and glass of wine with dinner was way overpriced at 20euro for half glass wine. Lovely room, fab shower but dusting behind TV needs to be attended to.
