The Ring Farmhouse was just perfect for myself, my wife and son. Quiet and private, but close to town. The hosts were friendly and very pleasant and helpful. The room was spotless and the home-cooked breakfast was top notch. We were visiting from the States and felt very at home at The Ring. We’d definitely return!

I was blown away by how gorgeous and stunning it was. So clean, well maintained and I felt like I went back in time. I wanted an authentic castle with green lush grass and this was it. The property is beautiful and we walked through the fairy forest.

This castle was a true dream.

This castle was a true dream. The rooms and staff were fabulous. We had so much fun with Shawna and Lucy, their service was perfect and their interaction with us made our stay fun. The food and drinks were great and served with perfection. The castle was clean and made you feel like royalty. I am not sure if it had an elevator but we did not mind the stairs, you are after all in a true century old castle. We would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in a castle.

    The castle itself is magnificent.

The castle itself is magnificent. Great Staff … all so friendly and helpful. Wedding Ceremony room was beautifully decorated. Excellent breakfast served with a smile 😊 Had a delicious meal in the library… definitely the most generous pizza I have come across. I could only get through half of it. There is no lift so it was difficult bringing luggage up three flights of stairs.

It was fun staying in an authentic castle, it was preserved nicely. I wish we had taken time to walk the grounds and experience gardens and trails. We only stayed one night, and the accomodations were nice - but it was definately an "old" facility. The restaurant in the "dungeon" had a lot of character, the food was good but the service was awful.

The hiking trails around the castle were amazing, easy to complete (no steep hills, paths are large and comfortable). The animals live and animate the scenery. The room was great value for money. The availability of food (good) at the bar was important since we arrived by taxi and didn't want to walk to the village to eat, although it's close by. The water available to purchase could come in bigger sizes.

Loved this castle. The courtyard was my favourite space. It was lovely and quiet during our stay so we found it very peaceful. Our rooms were in the Abby wing on the ground floor and we loved the four poster beds. Quirky bathrooms with a lovely deep bath to soak in. Lovely grounds for a little stroll and bigger walks available too. I wanted to give my girls a castle experience and Kinnitty didn't disappoint. Will happily return again.

The experience of the hotel is incredible with the look and feel of the place. The grounds are stunning and the rooms are beautiful. However, making sure the details are right is also important. TV not mounted. Table in room was slanted and wobbly. Lower toilets were not spotless. Dinner was not fully up to scratch. It's these extras that push a place to magnificent especially with such a price tag.

The location is fabulous, the hotel nestled in the Slieve Bloom mountains and secluded from the main road via a long driveway is fantastic, pay attention after dark though as you'll most likely encounter deer The beds wer super comfy, and the room was spacious and the bathroom big enough to hold a banquet in

I loved the bathroom but the only thing I’ll say is that it’s very tight. When you open the door you nearly have to stand in the shower to close the door to get to the toilet. But was very fancy like a hotel bathroom.
