Lovely comfortable stay in a beautiful location overlooking Glencoagh Lough with Bluestack mountains in background. Very clean cottage ,comfortable beds, great WiFi. Everything provided. Hosts left us a gift on arrival (much appreciated) and would be on call if needed. Great for touring South Donegal. We stayed Easter week through a storm and also sunshine but a great place to relax in. The bird feeding station is interesting with lots of species turning up. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a break but also close to local amenities.

A fabulous find - exceeded all expectations, cosy comfortable and larger than it looks it is perfect. Clean, warm and with little touches like tea coffee and milk on arrival it was a brilliant stay. We will be back!!

The staff check in was great. It is an older estatblishment so not flash, but was good value for money. Warm room and bed and hot showers. Its ideally located as within walking distance to great pubs, bakeries and reasonably priced gift shops

    Mount charles suited our group as a base, 10 mins to donegal...

    Mount charles suited our group as a base, 10 mins to donegal 20 mins to killibegs 30 mins to ballyshannon&35 mins to bundoran so it was within easy reach to all the towns, we went to castle open farm to feed and drive the digger we went on the riverboat around donegal Bay then, went th killibegs to see the fishing vessels, then, rossnowlough, beach which was beautiful, and had a drive to lough derg that was lovely,

    The property was not in the heart of Mountcharles and a walk...

    The property was not in the heart of Mountcharles and a walk into it would have meant a considerable climb back. We drove through Mountcharles and were surprised how spread out it was. We chose it for the location as we were exploring Donegal and Sligo. There is no sandy beach as far as we could tell.
