Hotel is undergoing a major renovation and I received a modernised room with updated facilities. All of the staff were extremely professional & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. They work hard to ensure guests needs are met. The breakfast buffet was plentiful & they kindly obliged to prepare me some eggs one morning. I did a late check out and hung around the hotel until my bus departure. I would recommend to others.

    Madurai is such a beautiful place to visit.

    Madurai is such a beautiful place to visit. I completed my schooling in Madurai. So many temples to visit.We will get Awesome vegetarian food there. I recommend Sabareesh restaurant ( Opposite of college house) for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Superb food. Everytime we will have food from there.Do visit Thiruparamkundaram,Alagarkovil and Thirumalai Nayakar place in Madurai . Famous for jigarthanda ,chungudi sarees and Madurai jasmine flower.

    Small city with less to no decent public transport i.e.

    Small city with less to no decent public transport i.e. metro. small roads, crowded, parking spaces are very less and hence big cars will face problem. You can have good darshan provided you have patience. Because, even after paying entrance ticket you will see people in bunches move past you to get darshan without spending a penny will be frustrating. There is so much hype for food but in reality, the places are limited and even a famous restaurant/mess could not manage to serve the listed menu by 9.00 pm itself. It is called a city that never sleeps, may be road side shops and near bus stand and station might work. It is also very hot place and so chillout even by evening is a question. Very limited star hotels available. so plan in advance and with a vehicle & a driver will be good choice to visit temples and places of interest.

    I am staying 5 nights but only two days require breakfast...

    I am staying 5 nights but only two days require breakfast yet was charged , no courtesy offer . Although it could be my mistake to press for breakfast to be included . My next breakfast is on 10 May only then checking out. Will you consider thanks

    If you are from other state than Tamilnadu, you will find it...

    If you are from other state than Tamilnadu, you will find it difficult to reach the Amman temple in own vehicle as there are no proper sign boards which leads us to Temple and whatever is available in Tamil only. The Amman temple is fully surrounded with dirty and narrow streets filled with shops and street vendors, it hides full view of the temple and its gopuras properly. It is more of a commercial area than a cultural area.

    This hotel is walkable from Meenakshi temple with both North Indian & South Indian restaurants options also walkable. As a tourist you will have enough shopping options near this hotel. This Hotel is a budget hotel with basic facilities, don't expect luxury facilities here. My preference was to stay close to the temple and in a hotel with basic/comfortable stay which this hotel provided.

    There is absolutely nothing negative about it.. All possible positives.. From welcome drink during check-in to wonderful rooms breakfast and dinner.. Staff cooperative and very very helpful.. We had the best of time in the hotel. Overall a very great experience and highly recommended . Happy to visit Madurai- temple city , a day tour to Rameshwaram from JC Residency.

    We arrived late off a train and were greeted by Balaji who was extremely welcoming and helpful. We are a family with two children and before arrival communications with the Hotel were excellent. He gave us breakfast and couldn't have been kinder. Thank you Balaji we will come again if we return to Madurai.
