We only spent 1 night and 1 lunchtime in Borgarnes, so my experience was limited. We would have loved to stay longer and explore more! The walk along the seaside is beautiful and a great way to get around. The pool with its hot tubs is excellent - just go here and skip the pricey spas! The town feels so safe and there are some lovely bakeries and cafes. The Settlement Museum is well worth a visit!Guest review byAlexisUnited States - 4.0

This place was a gem of a find, fantastic scenery, and peaceful. The host was great and the cabin had everything we needed. The town is just fifteen minutes away for groceries etc. A bonus are the farmers dogs who come into the cabin deck and want to play or just have their tummy tickled. all the basic facilities, grocery store, nice french fusion restaurant in one of the hotels in town. starting point to major outdoor points (e.g. Snaefellsness national park, points north and inland). The city is the historical center of some of the early settlers so it was interesting to explore. It has a number of good restaurants and plenty of other amenities like gas stations. A good place to stay- friendly, clean, quiet, etc. The jacuzzi and sauna were a nice touch and enjoyed after a day of trekking and driving. Borgarnes is nearby for food and such. The Conti breakfast was great - lots of healthy and tasty choices, and the coffee was good. All in all, thumbs up!Guest review byMichaelCanada

Not only did they upgrade our room but they had made a special note and congratulated us on arrival as we had just got engaged. Our room upgrade meant that we stayed in the largest room in the hotel, with a balcony and a beautiful view of the mountain and the room was massive with a TV (which had netflix!) and both of the gentlemen we spoke to at reception were so lovely and welcoming and helpful!Guest review byHayleyUnited Kingdom
