The staff is amazing, the place is great even though it's a little off road but it totally worth it. Also the breakfast is great, everything was clean. We love it so much!

A big thumbs up for the very helpful staff of Hotel Laxa. When we were about to check out, we clumsily drove our car into a pile of snow accumulated in the hotel car park overnight and got stuck there. A few hotel guests around lent us a hand but still could not pull our car out. Fionn at the Front Desk came to assistance immediately upon our request. It was certainly some strenuous work he did to free our car from the thick snow. And he's our hero. Thanks also to another lady at the Front Desk who was very helpful. It's a pity that we did not know her name. All in all, it was a great stay at Hotel Laxá. It's clean, cosy and at a good location in the Myvatn area.

We stayed in the hotel 2 nights and we liked it a lot. The hotel is situated next to the beautiful lake Myvatn. There’s a free parking area next to the hotel. The rooms were clean and tidy. The food was always freshly prepared. We spent the evenings playing darts 🎯 and drinking their craft beer 🍻 I would like to thank the staff of the hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful with smiley faces. We didn’t use the sauna and hot tubs but they looked nice. A nice compliment was free coffee and tea any time you wanted in the lobby. I recommend this hotel everyone who seeks for comfort and hospitality.

Extremely clean. Very compact. Kitchen had everything we needed. Outdoor seating was great. Very quiet and remote which we enjoyed. Communication was excellent and efficient.

Very lovely place to stay at! Everything was spotless (so the shared bathroom wasn‘t a problem at all). The kitchen was well equipped and really big so multiple people could cook at the same time. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, we would have definitely stayed longer if we could. Their ice cream is delicious too!

Location is very special, just a bit off the road near one of the larger and well-known waterfalls. For us also a good base for everything was we wanted to do in the area. It is a very nice cottage with all facilities. Plenty of rooms, reclining sofa and dining area. Especially the hot hot tub was great, we definitely used that too. Very nice was also the washing machine behind the cottage for intermediate laundry. We had a great time.
