I rate my stay exceptionally positively. The apartment is very large and very well equipped. In addition, it is well located. Great contact with the owner, who made sure that our stay was successful. We were warmly welcomed.

Hans and Monique are adorable hosts. The house is cosy, quiet and arranged with taste. The garden is spacious, made to enjoy the warm days and cool nights of Tuscany. The breakfasts are delicious, fresh and homemade. Hans and Monique were super welcoming, very accessible and always smiling. We really recommend everyone to live this unique and out of time experience at Colombaia Amiata, that will stay in your memory for years!

The property is fantastic, lovely pool, lovely house, great area, parking etc etc! But the most impressive thing about this property is the owners!! They are soooo lovely, kind and will help when/if you need it, I managed to break my leg whilst staying here (not at the property though!) and they came to the hospital and sat with my 14 yr old daughter (who would have been alone), spoke to the doctors and arranged transport for me to get back to the hospital. They also helped when I had to return the rental car early and helped me get to the airport. They literally could not have done anymore to help! Highly highly recommend!

    I was there for a concert event held at the castle, rather...

    I was there for a concert event held at the castle, rather than a holiday destination. However, it is an interesting blend of the preserved historic section and a modern section, both totally walkable. It is also useful as a base for exploring Mount Amiata. For food I chose Osteria Bastarda Rossa, which I expected to be the only proper restaurant. It is in the historic part with outdoor terrace and view. The food is simple, well cooked, and made with good local ingredients. You could easily walk past it without noticing, so locate it on Google Maps.

    The location is very good. In a peaceful hamlet, fairly close to both Arcidosso and Casteldelpiano. Both can be reached quite easily even with leasurely walks through the countryside. The kitchen has been fully kitted out and has everything one needs for a short break. The double bed was very comfortable, its mattress being very firm. The Wi-Fi provided was OK. Not very fast, but perfectly functional, with no glitches.

    It is a very good located hotel with nice restaurant and very kind and helpful staff. The breakfast was very nice with good coffee and it was pleasure to meet with the hotel owner daily. The room was very clean and confortable. Mainly the bathroom was fantastic with good hot water.

    Fantastic location in the old part of Arcidosso. Very nice and clean rooms. Everything worked well and Mario was lovely and very attentive at breakfast. Couldn’t have asked for more.
