A family friendly, safe beach resort with lovely restaurants, a lovely marina and a great prom to walk on. The square behind the beach is a great meeting place for all. The best place to eat was the hotel Miramare which has a great selection of pizzas, fish dishes and quality red Sicilian wine. Great service too. There's a lovely wee circular bar on the promenade which gets busy at the weekends. It's all within walking distance but it's easier to get to the bigger supermarkets by car. It’s in a converted almond factory and was tastefully and lovingly decorated. I had miscalculated nights so we had no place to stay one night and the staff could not have been more kind and helpful, particularly Valentina. I was so grateful. Breakfasts were lovely and ample and explained to us in a way that showed us how proud the staff were of their amazing Sicilian cuisine. It is advised for a couple only, maybe one kid, as the space and cutting of the apartment is very small.
