The property is exquisite, the location is just perfect, the accommodation is fabulous. Rooms are so comfortable, very well kitted out and magically private. You feel like you are completely on your own, and in another magical word when staying at Monaci.     Nice and helpful personel and a lovely dog Bianca. View on Etna and the sea is stunning. They have the best white wine we ever tasted made from their own grapes. Dinner and breakfast are good, also their red wine collection is great. Beds were bit hard and pool was chilly, that was the only 'downside'. If you want to explore the Etna, ask Antonio about the tour from Francesco, worth every penny.

    Great location for visiting Etna National Park.

    Great location for visiting Etna National Park. Short distance from cablecar that takes you up the mountain; we recommend paying for the van ride to go up farther than the cablecar because that portion includes a guide who shows you interesting things about the volcano, including fumaroles and the Valle del Bove lava valley. (We found this activity to be very interesting and enjoyable, although expensive. Do Not Leave Any Valuables in your car in the cablecar parking lot.) The town is very small - one grocery store and only 1 restaurant, but it's a good one: The 4 Arches (Quattro Achi) - very popular, reservations recommended, but only open for dinner Monday to Friday, lunch and dinner Sat and Sunday. The climate is a lot cooler in Milo than on the coast -- a welcome change. The roads are usually narrow and at times extremely steep. Underfoot is all crunchy volcanic rock and ash. We went on a hike to find an ancient oak tree -- the Ilice di Carrinu.

    The idyllic garden with a small vineyard and an amazing pool, the delightful homemade breakfast, the beautiful terrace with a view of Etna made our vacation to Sicily perfect. Giovanni is the best host that we ever encountered. Now we understand what Gabriel García Márquez meant when he said: “Going to Sicily is better than going to the moon.”

    Beautifull place and one of the best bed and breakfasts I’ve seen in Italy – and I’ve seen a lot. The room is wonderful, the terraces and the pool are beautifully located and perfect for relaxing. The hosts are incredibly friendly, and it was a real pleasure to spend two days there.

    The property, swimming pool and surrounding views were beautiful. Good quality coffee, tea and delicious biscuits were available all day long and free of charge. The dinners were delicious (though the portions were very small). The staff were very friendly and very helpful.

    A very charming estate, definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby. Friendly atmosphere, everything is clean, the grounds are well-kept, and it’s peaceful. Only 20 minutes to Etna.
