One can cover the main sights of Perugia in a long day.
One can cover the main sights of Perugia in a long day. If you're driving, use the minimetro at Pian di Massiano. It's free to park, and the ride up to the centre of the old town is €1.50 each way. I never expected Perugia to be this nice. The Centro Storico is awesome, (there is nothing to see in the lower part). The old buildings, architecture, amazing valley views, the food, people, everything was awesome. We also went to Assisi , which is truly a gem, fantastic place. Very hilly and it gets tiring in the heat. Get the electric hop on/off bus to take you around. Managed also a visit to Passignano sul Trasimeno. a very cute little village on the side of Trasimeno lake. Visited Isola Maggiore with a tourist boat. Again never expected a little island in the middle of the lake to be so beautiful. It was just amazing. Just make sure you know the train times to go back to Perugia.Guest review byBlakeCMalta

The staff, especially Samantha, went out of their way to help with everything from restaurant bookings to things to do while in town. The room was very large, a suite that we were upgraded to, clean and very comfortable - it had two full bathrooms too!! The breakfast is very good (which can be a struggle in Italy especially if you're trying to keep your sugar intake down!) and the location is brilliant.
