Fantastic location, lovely accommodation, with a lot of thought over details. Hot tubs available in the garden, which had stunning views of the mountains. Breakfast was self service in a cave like room, very evocative! All mid cons including air con. Two of us slept on a sofa bed, which was so very comfortable, compared to some of the actual beds we slept in on this holiday. We would have liked to stay for a week, rather than one night! We had the most wonderful stay at Il Poggio di Traverde! This charming place is nestled up the mountain from Pontremoli, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The serene and picturesque ambiance was exactly what we needed to unwind and connect with nature. The hosts, two sisters, were simply amazing - incredibly kind and welcoming. They made us feel right at home and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The homemade breakfast they prepared was divine. The rooms were simple yet very clean, equipped with all the necessary amenities, and boasted magnificent views from the terrace. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploration. One of the highlights of our stay was the accessibility to the nearby gorge, Gli Stretto Di Giaredo, which the hosts recommended. We must say, it was a nature lover's paradise! The small hike led to absolutely stunning views and natural pools for a refreshing swim. We highly recommend this experience if you are outdoorsy. In addition to the great hospitality and breathtaking views, the property also offered free parking, making it easily accessible by car. Overall, our experience at Il Poggio di Traverde was nothing short of exceptional. It's a hidden gem, perfect for those seeking tranquility and a connection with nature. We felt so welcome throughout our stay and thoroughly enjoyed the surrounding flora and fauna.

This hotel was just fantastic!! Utentic mediviele athmosphere with great thinking of every detail. Dont compromise and take the suite!! We wanted to get the feel of the renesans days and there is no other place to feel it than here. We just fell in love for the hotel and the city itslef.     It was as if we were visiting an aunt or grandmother's apartment. Just like staying overnight in a family's apartment. It was very nice. We found this town by accident, but we highly recommend it.

    It's easy to get around Pontremoli.

    It's easy to get around Pontremoli. Old town steeped in history, has a castle, cathedral and churches Many places to eat, all good Local train station has excellent train service to all parts of Italy Cinque Terra can be accessed by car or train Market on a Wednesday and Saturday Many coffee shops Excellent ice cream Good quality clothes/shoe shops and boutiques

    I absolutely loved this apartment.

    I absolutely loved this apartment. They have done a fantastic job of restoration. The car is right outside the apartment. There’s the lovely pool and only a few apartments on site so not crowded at all! All you could hear at night was an odd owl and the crickets?grasshoppers? Really peaceful. We had 2 great day trips out to Cinque Terre and Pisa both were about 1 1/4 hours away. Would definitely recommend and would definitely like to go back! Pontremoli itself has several small supermarkets down in the bottom. We chose to cook for ourselves so didn’t try food locally.

    Wonderful old town centre with a few great restaurants - we ate at the wonderful Osteria da Bussé and the kids had ice creams at the Caffé degli Svizzeri. The best thing was staying outside the town in the hills where the temperature was a few notches lower than the coast - perfect in July!

Warm welcome at property with early check in much appreciated. Rooms vast. Clean. Comfortable bed. Modern bathroom and shower Sunny balcony lovely to sit on.     Room was clean, large and modern with private access and also had an amazing patio which was exclusive to room. Hosts were kind, offering a drink on arrival, and kindly offered dinner, as accommodation is remote but only for someone on bicycle as it's a very steep 3 miles to Pontremoli which is beautiful. Thanks for a great product and your kindness.
