The accommodation is located in an apartment block & the owner has a shop down stairs (Kasinova). the location is good, in the city centre & close to most attractions. The apartment has a full kitchen, equipped with full size fridge, dishwasher , cooktop & oven. Has a large aray of cooking utensils & cutlery. Apartment is spacious, extremely clean, modern & comfortable. Bedroom a good size, bed & pillow comfortable, bathroom with shower and good water pressure. You pick up the key from her shop downstairs, be aware check-in is at 4pm & the shop usually shuts from 1.30pm to 4.00 pm, so you can't get in during this time. They will store your bags if required when you checkout, but you can't pick them up between 1.30pm & 4pm. The apartment has good air-conditioning. I liked the food, the climate and the church of Santa Corona, with a beautiful painting of the Baptismo of Christ, by Giovanni Bellini, painted between 1500 and 1502.. It has been considered by Art critics as one of the five most beautiful paintings in the world. Vicenza is a lovely small town in Italy and a very good base for exploring the Veneto region with great connections from the centrally located railway station - I used it as a base to visit Padua, Chioggia, Venice, Treviso, Citadella, Bassano del Grappa and Verona. Loved the restaurants and all the easy to walk to sights. Also an easy walk to the train and bus terminal! And a 20 min walk to their ER hospital which I had to go to because I fell and fractured my wrist. I was given amazing kind professional treatment and yes you have to wait in the ER for some time due to how many people are before you however it was worth it to receive such care and economical care too. Vicenza is a beautiful and very young, vibrant city.
Vicenza is a beautiful and very young, vibrant city. We had booked three days, which was probably a day too long for the city itself. It is however within easy access to Padua, Verona, and a little further out Venice and Lake Garda. so a day at any of those options would make a three day stay the perfect length. It's got elegant Palladian buildings but not too many tourists. Great artisan shops. On the down side as it's not overly touristy the restaurants aren't open all day long and most shut between 1430 and 1800hrs. You may miss lunch if you lose track of time....Guest review byWendyUnited Kingdom

Lucia truly has created a very special place to stay. It even has a bird filled walled garden. Expect delicious and varied breakfasts, elegant and tasteful rooms full of books and eclectic artwork. Lucia is just so warm and friendly. Do hope we return soon. Vicenza itself has become my favourite city in Italy, all traffic free in its centre. Everything were in time and without any problems. The location is great, very closed to the center of Vicenza. There were a lot of restaurants and bars. The big supermarket Spar is 5 minutes by car from the appartment. Marco was also very kind and sent me the keys from my flat in Prague, which I forgot in Italy by post.
