I could go on and on about how splendid this place was. We loved it so much that we even extended one more night! Highlights include: - unique and different homemade breakfast with local specialized ingredients every morning - towel warmer in the bathroom - incredibly friendly staff - most comfortable duvet - green, black, and herbal tea at practically every corner of the hotel. You could tell the owner put in so much love into the place. They clearly know what they like when they stay at hotels and decided to put in their favorite aspects into their own hotel.

Furukawa is a beautiful village in the mountain, the house was awesome, typically traditional Japanese house, absolutely beautiful, the owner is very nice and as always exceptional Japanese hospitality make this place a place to go.

It's a jaw-dropping place. Seriously, we were regretting for getting this place ONLY for one night. The house itself was beautiful inside and outside. The location and also the landscape you could see through the window... it was an unforgettable experience. It's a little remote from Takayama itself, but we were travelling without a car and we were able to get here from town center by bus in 20 minutes and a short walk.

Gorgeous place, really big and beautifully designed. Despite being next door to the train station it was much quieter than expected. It was a bit further down the street than the Google map location, on the corner of the block but it was a perfect. Highly recommended with super helpful owners.

We had a great stay at Yoshihiko-sans place. Check in was in person, house rules were easy to follow and the surroundings are beautifully peaceful. It can get cold over night, but you have heaters everywhere and even the futons are heated (which was soooo nice)! If you are very tall, you will have to be careful, since the ceiling isn't too high. Parking is easy accessable on the premises. Bus connection is close to the accommodation. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to everyone who wants to experience rural Japan. Breakfast was also very tasty!!
