The rooms are extremely clean, spacious & comfortable. The shower was spacious & I love the rain bath & shower. Both had strong water pressure. We received very attentive service. Staff responded almost immediately whenever we called. Our location is within walking distance to the Hakone-Yumoto Station. Extremely convenient when sightseeing. There is a 7-11 convenience store close by & a famous Ramen noodle shop a stone's throw from the hotel. Always a queue outside the store. Lot's of food stalls in the vicinity. . Really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Zagakukan.

The apartment-building is directly next to the Odawara Castle Grounds and looks very new; it is about 7 minutes on foot from Odawara station. There are restaurants and conbinis in the area. The apartment ist very spacious (we were three adults). I especially liked the bathroom: You can have the bathtub fill up automatically, and there is a function to heat up and ventilate the bathroom to dry clothes over night. This is very usefull if you have clothes you either cannot dry in the washing-/dryer-combo that is available, or if you get drenched in the rain as we did. Staff was very friendly and did not mind us storing our suitcases for a couple of hours after our check-out while we went to visit the castle.

Amazing location, is central to Hakone and very close to the station, making it super convenient to get around. Small hotel, but thoughtful facilities. Loved the floor beds (even though it was a bit inconvenient for me) but loved the little dining space in the room. The hairdryer seemed a bit lower-powered, I wish they had a better one.
