Incredibly friendly and accomodating owners. Spotlessly clean. On-site parking was very useful for us. Japanese style tatami room was basic but had everything we needed.

Takai the owner was sooooo helpful, it made all the difference to my stay in Matsumoto. I loved the book he made describing the different restaurants and what their specialities were. So much love and hard work have gone into making this place special. Takai was patient and answered all of my questions and went out of his way to help me. I am very grateful for his kindness and consideration. Lots of eating and drinking places are only a few minutes away as is the castle. It's also only about 15 minutes walk from the station so even with a suitcase I could walk here.

The offer of toiletries to take to the onsen, bikes to cycle round the city and free washing facilities made it such an easy place to stay without hidden extra costs. The kitchen was well kitted out. Staff and other travellers very friendly.

Exceeded my expectations! Breakfast was free and delicious! Staff were so nice and caring. Facilities were beautiful and clean. Room was very nice looking and cozy. Good TV, good air conditioning and a nice view.

Amazing location. Right next to the station. Like a 200m walk. Hotel by itself is very spacious and has an insane bath. It also has a vending machine on the 2nd floor, as well as free massage chairs. The city by itself is also very charismatic. Anyone travelling JP - I highly recommend this place
