I was expecting the room to be teeny tiny, and while it was small, it was a lot more spacious than my husband and I were expecting. We didn't feel cramped at all - they make really good use of the space. The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower was amazing. The best part of this hotel is of course, the fact that it also is a bookstore and cafe, which is open 24 hours for guests. As book lovers, this was the perfect oasis and was also extremely well located. A book lovers dream!

The breakfast was incredible! We loved the secret doors and the private access to the viewing platform of the tower. The welcome tea and sweets were the best ones we had on the trip. Staff were absolutely incredible. We had checked out, we were waiting at the elevator and it started to rain. A staff came running with an umbrella for us.

Gorgeous hotel with iconic views on Nagoya! We loved our stay here. Comfortable room with modern and high-tech equipment. The lights make the room very relaxing. It was greatly appreciated to have one international receptionist speaking French. He gave us good advice. We also used the laundry facilities, very convenient and secured with a special code.

Nagoya is a treasure for eating and shopping.

Nagoya is a treasure for eating and shopping. LOTS of great restaurants. There's the science museum, the Toyota museum, and Nagoya Castle. No "authentic" neighborhoods to explore, though there is an ethnic shopping street near Kamimaezu Station. There are lots of traditional Japanese coffee shops "kissaten" to relax in if that's your thing. If you venture away from downtown there are places like Shirotori Gardens or Arimatsu on the historical Tokaido Road which was a center of indigo dyeing. No restaurants though in the 800 m length of the neighborhood.

Unsure of what to expect but the city is full of life. Amazing shopping in Osu Shotengai District, the castle, the food options (as in most if Japan), Kako Coffee House ogura toast (long queue but yummy) and most delicious sake I tried was in Nagoya. Only stayed for one full day really but very enjoyable. (Also hosts some of the sumo matches! Didn't even have time to visit the Science Museum...

Nagoya is often overlooked but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Stayed here for 2 nights but wish we stayed more. We did one day Legoland and one day Nagoya Science museum. If we had stayed longer, we could've visited the Nagoya Aquarium, the MagLev museum and the Toyota museum. We took the Hinotori train from Osaka which had a more luxurious interior than the Shinkansen. I'll come back to explore Nagoya and surrounding more.

There's not a lot of 'touristy' stuff to do in Nagoya, but it's less busy than Tokyo and felt refreshing after crowds of tourists. The green belt leading to Mirai Tower was really nice to walk along, especially at night when there were lights. Mirai Tower also had great views. Oasis 21 is neat to look at and walk on the roof, and there were some neat shops. We found a great gluten free (coeliac friendly) restaurant called Michinori Tei that did delicious meal sets and cute desserts. The aquarium took 2-3 hours (the dolphin show was impressive), and Nagoya Castle grounds are ok. The castle was closed when we were there, but Honmaru Palace was open and had lovely interior decoration. The metro map is fairly simple.

Although the hotel has a plain, business like feel, it was a great place to stay in Nagoya. The room was the biggest I had in Japan with plenty of room to lay down luggage. The onsen was really good, and often really busy. I walked almost everywhere and the hotel was one stop from Nagoya station. For convenience I caught a taxi there on the say of departure and it was around 700 yen.

    1. Relatively affordable. 2. One of the closest hotels to the Meitetsu airport line at Nagoya Station. 3. Near to a few convenience stores. 4. Check in and check out done via machine, with English available as a language option. Fast and efficient. 5. Bathroom large for Japanese standards, with a decent-sized bathtub.

Our family especially liked the breakfast spread and the drinks from the social room. Beds were comfy and the hotel is near a lot of train stations. The bus stop coming to and from the airport is conviniently located near the hotel too. We'll definitely book this hotel again for our next trip to Nagoya. .
