The food, the decor, the town, the whole area was extremely pleasant and I also arrived during the spring festival which made the experience that much better. The host was extremely helpful and polite and made my time in the city great, they even offered to drive me and my friend to the train station, saving us time and back pain from all our luggage. Themed hotel was super cool for my young kid. The was a cool kids play area that opened recently, good place to burn some leftover energy! The new rooms were modern and clean. It was also very spacious which was a nice change compared to the more populated metro areas

Hosts were very accommodating despite speaking little English and my limited Japanese. Translation app overcame that barrier. A stocked fridge and comprehensive facilities made my stay very enjoyable. I was able to cook a simple meal, and do some laundry without having to leave the guesthouse in the heavy snow! The cherry on top was the owner driving me to the dinosaur museum in the morning. Very unexpected but much appreciated.
