Certified onsen hot spring right inside the property's bath room! Very nice clean and comfortable house with spacious living and dining areas. Garden is nice as well! Good kitchen to do things in. Great massage chair as well! Came with complimentary nice ramen. I can see this as great for larger groups of people.

Very good quality stay, where almost all of the items you expect from an accommodation is available. This place owner gives the best impression to me so far in my trip. Place feels and look clean which provide very pleasant stay.

It was such an enjoyable and relaxing stay. House is very big and well organized, we all could have our private space to sleep. +Living room is combined with kitchen and has a big table, big TV and massage chair! We loved it! +Also there is a very nice wood deck with BBQ set, morning time we enjoyed coffee there. +Oh! There is a japanese garden in front of the house and it has beautiful light up at night, kinda romantic. +We arrived later afternoon and went for a walk to a park nearby and also convenience store. +The house is located in nice and quiet area. Morning we enjoyed birds singing. House looks a bit old but its kinda charming.

Peaceful area. Cozy and spacious Japanese home. The house was warm and the onsen experience was awesome. Host is very responsive. The kitchen is equiped with everyyhing you need, from drip coffee, complete kitchen appliances and also condiment for cooking. Hope to come back in summer to enjoy the ourdoor. Love to sit by the window looking out at the snow.

Clean, clean, and clean! There was not even an ant inside the house, no bad smells when we entered in the house! Also, it was fully equipped, especially for the kitchen stuff! Although the location is a bit remote, yet, we were satisfied with the confort inside. The house is located 3 minutes away from a “no man” train station, yet, we planned well our program with the train schedules, so there was no restraint at all.

The house is modern, clean and spacious with good beds. There are a lot of amenities in the kitchen for cooking and the house is well stocked with other equipement. Enough parkingspace for two small cars and close by are a konbini, Daiso and supermarket. Would definitely recommend this stay in the Shiraoi area.

    Shiraoi is a tiny town between Tomakomai and Noboribetsu, I...

    Shiraoi is a tiny town between Tomakomai and Noboribetsu, I think most people come on a day trip to visit the Ainu museum, Upopoy and don't stay. The town is famous for wagyu beef and there are a few restaurants offering this. Close to the hostel is a restaurant that serves jingis khan, grilled lamb, a Hokkaido specialty. There are lots of little cafes, izakayas and even an amazing gelato shop in town. It's an interesting place to spend a night and just enough off the beaten tourist track to not be difficult to get to so it isn't overrun with visitors. After the museum take a walk around Poroto Lake.

    It seems that other than Upopoy, there really aren't that...

    It seems that other than Upopoy, there really aren't that many to see, so I can imagine travelers doing a day trip before returning to Sapporo or NIseko, but there are some really nice restaurants, cafes, and bars in town which I think is worth checking and exploring if you are staying overnight.
