Excellent host! Kyoko was incredible. Also, there were nice rooms, a delicious breakfast, and an amazing atmosphere. I wish we stayed longer. :)

This is a private run hostel in a private property, run by a family. The members of this family are the nicest, not only did they pick me up at the trainsation on arrive l, but on the day of departure, they drove me all the way to Kochi and not to the closest trainstation 😯. The onsen was fantastic. We enjoyed the family bath that night and took a quick dip in the morning. The beds were very comfortable, giving us both a good night's sleep. It was great to lounge around in the supplied yukatas and winter jacket, taking in the spectacular scenery of the river. Although we can not speak any Japanese, we were able to communicate with the owner.
