The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking 24 hectares of tea plantation, surrounded by luscious mountains. It is the perfect combination of peace and isolation amidst a breathtaking scenery. The hotel staff are very attentive to guests’ needs - be it booking car transfers or showing the best hike routes in the area. This place is a gem and we look forward to coming back.

Beautiful quiet location close to the Pekoe Trail. The host and his family could not have been more kind and welcoming. The guesthouse is well appointed and very comfortable . We had dinner and breakfast here. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Highly recommended 👌 and great value.

We chose Meena Amma's Tea Experience because we wanted to have a closer and more genuine experience with locals, and because we wanted an accommodation close to the hiking trails of the Hortons Plains. Meena was such an amazing host. She took care of us in the best way possible. She walked with us to show us the surroundings, explained to us useful tips on Sri Lankan cuisine, and cooked for us the best and most authentic meals we had in Sri Lanka. Although, we thought that her cooking was amazing, it was a little bit salty for our taste buds. The room was nicely decorated and has the convenience of a nearly a 5* standard. Highly recommended accommodation in a strategic location close to Nuwara Eliya and Horton Plains. Just beware of the entrance road to the village is not asphalted!

Clouds 1939 was an absolute delight. The location and views were magical , the perfect place to relax. The adorable dogs made our stay even more memorable. Meals were great, staff were lovely, and the rooms were spacious and cozy - especially the attic room, which was my favourite. Highly recommended!

We booked our accommodation here at the last minute, as we left another local hotel in disgust at the poor hygiene. The Regal Rose Luxury Apartments far exceeded our expectations of what we have experienced in Sri Lanka so far. The hosts were so accommodating and welcoming. The tea on arrival was just what we needed. The breakfast was fantastic and catered exactly to our requirements. The water pressure was fantastic and the hot water was so hot. This accommodation is a real gem in Nuwara Eliya. The owner called us from Australia upon making the booking to check out requirements. It was great to have someone understand cleanliness and provide us with a clean and comfortable stay. Prasad the manager is a natural at customer service. Ishan thank you mate.
