It wad one of the most magical places we stayed in Sri Lanka. The views of the mountain is just spectacular. The house is spacious, well decorated and equipped. The family owning the house is super sweet and made us feel right at home!

I slept in the dorm room, so for me it was a hostel kind of situation, and I must honestly say that did not feel like a typical hostel in any moment. Everything is thought of like slippers for the bathroom, the bed is as comfortable as you can dream of and the host makes you feel extremely welcome. The location adds to that, lovely spot, right below the view point, so perfect for a short sunrise hike. Definitely recommend staying there, wish I could have stayed longer!

We had a perfect stay at Iddyl Cottage Ella! Everything was perfect: the room was very clean and comfortable, and the view from the terrace was simply breathtaking. The staff was very kind and attentive. They went above and beyond to make our stay easy and enjoyable, helping us with tuk-tuks, organizing excursions, arranging taxis, giving restaurant recommendations, and even assisting with small needs like adapters or bottled water. The homemade breakfast was delicious and very generous! Served on the terrace of our room, it was a real treat every morning. This accommodation was the highlight of our trip to Ella, and we can’t recommend it enough!
