We found this place to stay on the 3rd stage of the Pekoe Trail. It is run by a young couple who said they started running it about three months ago. They were both very friendly and prepared the food we requested very tasty. The room had everything we needed for a normal room. With a beautiful mountain view.

Amazing place located in the middle of tea fields in the mountains. The host gives a very interesting tour into the tea fields and explains the entire tea-making process. There are also lots of other activities, such as hiking, visiting a nearby waterfall, bird watching etc. Food is great, staff is very friendly and rooms are spacious. Would definitely recommend!

The location was perfect, breathtaking view of the natural beauty, which gave us much-needed relaxation. The staff was very friendly and looked after our interest from the time of arrival to our departure. We had a wonderful two-day stay at Kotmale Homestay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable retreat. The homestay is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and provides a truly welcoming atmosphere. One of the best aspects of our stay was its ideal location, making it easy to visit all the key attractions in the area. Whether you're exploring nature, historical sites, or simply enjoying the scenic beauty of Kotmale, this homestay is a perfect base. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with great care, offering a delightful taste of home-cooked Sri Lankan cuisine. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. What made our experience even more special was the warm hospitality of the private host and their family. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, engaging in friendly conversations and ensuring we had everything we needed. Their kindness and hospitality truly set this place apart. Overall, Kotmale Homestay is a gem—a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place with excellent food and a fantastic location. We would love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

This was the best part of our trip to Sri Lanka. It really feels like you are at home. The staff were a big highlight, very kind and professional, but also friendly. We were tired and ended up spending most of our days at the hotel, enjoying the pool and playing games. The surrounding is magical, tucked in the forest. Rooms are well equipped and comfy. Food was also great.
