Very nice,clean and bright property and all possible amenities are available. Very helpful and nice staff. Crystal clear clean pool. Literally 2 mins away from beach so the name really suit the property. Thank you. Will defiantely come back

-The staff are excellent, both Pathmi and Silva are helpful, kind, and do a wonderful job of hosting their guests -The place is spotless and they make sure it stays that way -They serve a wonderful breakfast of fruit, eggs, and toast every morning -Benjamin (the manager) made himself available via whatsapp and was helpful in providing tips and accomodating special requests -I loved the furnishings and the general vibe of the place. It feels like an oasis! -Comfy bed, clean linens, clean bathroom. I am picky on hygiene -Value for money is on point

I was incredibly happy with my stay, it was very clean, beutifully designed, very nice staff, quick and cheap room service, nice facilities and overall good stay. Also as a woman travelling alone a perfect stay. Good food also and nice fresh fruit juices.

I stayed here as a child with my parents when we visited family and now I stay here with my own children. It is a wonderful place to stay with everything you need to relax. The staff are friendly and very obliging. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with good facilities and excellent air conditioning. The food is excellent and plentiful. The buffets at breakfast and in the evening are incredible with an enormous selection from around the world. But the local dishes are the best. We will definitely be back.

    Great place to stay in Colombo area away from city centre but close enough for easy access to city amenities, shops and restaurants. Lovely colonial era building full of charm. The terrace and pool area is unique - right on the ocean. Nothing quite like it in the Colombo area.

    This Colombo (south) hotel is highly recommended for travellers. It is extremely competitively good on price and I often wonder how they make any money with the usual superb and attentive services that come with the competitive price tag! The location is definitely the MOST exotic out of ALL Colombo hotels and also, it virtually has its own train station (well nearly, as it's yards away from the building) adding to the convenience of getting to Colombo North side. The hotel keeps its beach grounds VERY CLEAN...in fact, spotless which again is superb for an older city hotel. This is MUST TRY hotel as its a genuine heritage hotel as well of about 220 years and a lovely historical back story behind the name too!

    Our hotel lodge was disappointing.

    Our hotel lodge was disappointing. We had to comply with what they wanted! We found an amazing guide at the beach who showed us the market, had a meal with his family and took us on a couple of tours. He made our visit here worthwhile. The beach looks lovely but swimming in sea not recommended.

    My stay was quite comfortable, I felt very much at home. The staff were really friendly and super accommodating, especially James. And the host was great at checking in to see if I was okay and if I needed anything. The home is also located near the beach is amazing and close to various amenities which is great. Even With the shared kitchen and dinning area, the home still offered the needed privacy during my stay. I'd come back if I get the chance to visit Sri Lanka again

    I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The receptionist was exceptional—very friendly, accommodating, and flexible, making the check-in and check-out process seamless. The hotel is well worth the price, offering great value for money. Its location is fantastic, providing easy access to many attractions around Colombo. The customer service throughout my stay was excellent, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant visit. Highly recommend!

    Luxury interior, great, big bedrooms. Theres a big kitchen, with dining table for 8 people with modern living room. On 2nd floor are bedrooms with 2 luxury bathrooms and one shared living room where we watched netflix before sleep. You can chose breakfast (Sri Lankan or western), both are awesome. House is in quiet part of Colombo, 10km from city centre, 3km from beach. There is also 24h guard in front of complex so bothing to worry about safety.

    The room is very spacious and is right next to a Buddhist temple. I really enjoyed the balcony. The room has very good natural light. I thing that this place needs desperately a renovation. The location was all right but not the best in Colombo. I wouldn't feel safe as a female to walk around in the night.

    Suren, the owner, went out of his way to ensure I had the best stay. Nothing was too much. The room was great. Comfortable bed. Shared kitchen and little balcony area. It was a really lovely place to stay.
