The city is easily accessible and quite clean. During peak season (July, August) there is traffic but it is manageable. I find majority of the city is walkable. Many restaurants, shops, coffee shops and local markets for groceries available. Beaches have both public and private beaches close to each other. For public beach it is just sand so bring your own umbrella and blanket. Private beaches have chairs and umbrella for €15-25 depending on time of year and beach. Note, beach showers and bathrooms are not the best or they may not exist so need to pre plan a little. Food is good, pizza, seafood, pasta and local cuisine. English is spoken in majority of the shops. The old city is accessible and worth a visit, both at night and day.Guest review byGasi - 8.0

The only means of transport is car/taxi, there are just very few intercity-buses. If you are interested in guided tours, there are no offers in Ulcinj and you would have to go to the nearest touristic city - Bar - if you want to go on an excursion.Guest review byAnna - 8.0

Good restaurants in The Old Town. Kind people everywhere, good prices, funny city traffic with Balkan rules, but no one was rude, no claksons. The biggest negative is waste everywhere in the streets - bottles, cigarettes, papers, plastic bags, old tree branches, leafs.. It´s a pitty because I thing Ulcing is nice town with its special atmosphere and keeping it clean would raise interest of it. City beach is i a one word just horrible. The Long beach is very very nice and much more cleaner but not clean. We enjoied our holiday but the waste was very negative thing.Guest review byIvoCzech Republic - 8.0

Ulcinje is quite clean and the climate in Summer is agreable because of the sea. In general in Montenegro and in particular in Ulcinje, the cleanliness could be improved. Small city with lack of healthy food variety in restaurants, and too much night life noise at night at the beach. The main drag is mostly clean, but the beach isn't, and walking through back alley's are also very disappointing - heavily littered by trash (plastic, broken glass, broken furniture, feces, and food). If you don't mind walking up and down the hilly landscape to apartments and hotels multiple times a day in 40 C, then you can find a quiet, clean place away from the beach to relax.Guest review byBarnes
