Amazing place for a dream vacation! 🙂 We loved the place so much, Bikini beach is a minute away and the view from the restaurant is very beautiful and romantic. The staff is extremely nice, open and very friendly! We definitely loved our stay in Thundi and we highly recommend it! 🌴

Perfect spot to experience a relaxing holiday. The island was rural , untouched, beach was as big and beautiful it can be and local people were amazing. The hotel was located in the most silent part of the island and few minutes from the bikini beach. Mr. Naeem who is originally from the island was the perfect host and took us snorkeling and fishing.

This hotel is by far my best experience in the Maldives. Everything was well thought, smooth and centered around genuine connection. All the staff members without exception are super welcoming and always attentive, from the booking to the transfer to the actual stay. It gives the unique atmosphere of being at home. They have organized everything so smoothly. The hotel activities and excursions are custom made and offer a private and privileged experience. The crew knows the area by heart and gives so many insights on the wildlife. The rooms are very spacious, super clean and with amazing views. The breakfast changes everyday and is very fresh. The hotel restaurant is also amazing and very affordable. The private beach is the best of the island and the reef is very vivid for snorkeling. Overall, the experience is unforgettable and gives the perfect blend of local but also soothing.

We were cordially welcomed by Sumesh at the airport and taken by taxi to the resort. We had a great time thanks to Sumesh and the team at LVIS who were very attentive to our every need. They arranged excellent tours which made our stay more memorable. They even arranged special candle light dinner on the beach with cake for our wedding anniversary. The location is facing the beach, so we could access the beach anytime we wanted. They provided snorkeling kits when requested. Thanks to Sumesh, Viraj, Sohail, Abhishek, Santosh, Shoaib, Prashant. We wish them success in the days to come. We would love to visit them again and again. Highly recommended to couples and families.

I had the most incredible birthday at Bageecha Stay! The rooms were absolutely spotless, with a lovely fresh scent and everything feeling brand new. The service was top-notch – personalized and thoughtful at every turn. The food? Delicious and beautifully presented! One of the best parts is the ability to choose between local Maldivian dishes or European cuisine, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The island is the perfect size for exploring, with clean beaches and stunning ocean views. The view from my room was breathtaking, with the ocean stretching out right before my eyes. The highlight of my stay was taking a boat trip to a deserted island, which turned out to be the most unforgettable experience. It was peaceful, beautiful, and truly magical – a once-in-a-lifetime moment! For those who love to explore, the resort offers bicycles that you can take and ride around the island. It’s a fun and relaxing way to see every corner of this beautiful place. Everything at Bageecha Stay is designed with attention to detail. The rooms were cleaned regularly, ensuring everything stayed fresh and pristine. They even have special branded beach towels, which was a lovely touch and added to the luxurious feel of the stay. Another unique feature of the resort is the sight of planes taking off – a fascinating experience that makes for amazing photos! Stayed 11 nights my fiancee to celebrate our 6 year anniversary. Amazing staff, extremely friendly, kind and nice. Our butler - Noble, was exceptional, incredibly thoughtful person. Our housekeeper was amazing man, always kept our room in impeccable condition. Waiter - Nawwaf, absolutely kind and a real maldivian! The resort is very hospitable, I will really miss everyone! Food - great, lots of varieties, especially I was keen on desserts and curries :) Fitness facilities that I used: tennis, badminton, table tennis - again extremely kind gentleman and very loyal too (working for the resort 20 years). I really advise everyone who is looking to book this place, you will be in secure and good hands. We will be back with our family next time :)

    This is a small local island. It’s quiet and simple.

    This is a small local island. It’s quiet and simple. The people are friendly. The beach and the sea is beautiful. There are a few restaurants on the island. We have limited choice on food. We recommend the restaurant called Moonshell as it provides more international food and the price is reasonable. There is another cafe near the pier where we can eat local Maldivian food. The cafe is popular among locals. The island is very close to the Manta point called Hanifaru Bay. We recommend this manta excursion as this is a wonderful once in a lifetime experience. It is convenient to bring cash and exchange some Maldivian money to spend and pay for the meals.

    A local island so don't expect the resort life - the beaches...

    A local island so don't expect the resort life - the beaches look picture perfect, but the streets are full of trash. You can experience and learn about the local lifestyle, traditions etc. which is a big plus in my opinion. I read that the house reef is one of the best in the Maledives and I can absolutely vouch for that.

    Maalhos is a beautiful island surrounded by white coral...

    Maalhos is a beautiful island surrounded by white coral beaches. It has a forest full of palms and tropical trees and plants. If you visit it in the evening, use mosquito repellent. Local villagers are nice and friendly. There is a bikini beach with sun beds and amazing access to turquoise colour water. Beaches are white sand and on several parts of the island you can find corals and shells on the beach. There is a diving center, you can rent a water scooter or go for a snorkeling trip. Snorkeling was an amazing experience. We saw tropical fish, sting rays, corals and big turtles while snorkeling. We went for a dolphin watch and saw dozens of dolphins swimming and jumping in the sea. There is an isolated island close to Maalhos with beautiful turquoise lagoons. Unfortunately there was also quite a lot of trash when we visited and the forest is full of mosquitoes, so don't forget to take your repellent if you visit. During some months you can watch mantas. We had the luck and the blue bioluminescence plankton 3 or 4 nights on the beach, it was a breath taking experience. We stayed and took breakfast, lunch and dinner in Manta Reserve Hotel, which is the best place to stay in Maalhos. You can walk around the island in 45 minutes.

    Small local islands for chilling, It has everything you need with step accessibility. There are several guest houses, dive center, bikini beach, jungle side and beautiful coral reef. Highly recommend for short and longer stay.
