The hotel is a small oasis in a very busy part of the town. The rooms are large with good sized balconies looking over the pool. The décor in the rooms is basic but everything worked (although the power did keep going on and off in the evening!) We really liked the shared fridge and sink area with washing up liquid etc. Menus are also provided to order food in if you don't want to drive into town or to a beach club. Hotel has a small area to park. The pool is clean and a good size although was so full of children the evening we arrived we didn't get to use it until the morning. Staff are very helpful and helped us book a dolphin viewing trip as we checked in - we were then out on the sea (and saw dolphins) an hour later! Breakfast was a nice surprise.

Isla Aguada is now a magical pueblo and it has a ways to go to live up to that name. It is a scrubby town that is trying to improve. We were there off season and on a Monday when most things were closed, so it is probably much more lively in the summer. Lots of seafood restaurants and the main draw is that a boat will take you out to see the dolphins. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was great fun and we saw a lot of dolphins. Our guide told us the time from March to August is better, the water is calmer and clearer and there are more dolphins, plus sea turtles.

The beach was OK and we were picked up directly from there by Marbella for a boat tour around the lagoon (really good), which was handy. The place itself was well located to break our journey after a long drive from Calakmul. It's away from the centre of Isla Aguada, so we didn't really get a chance to see the town and find out why it is a Pueblo Magico.

There are few options in Isla Aguada and this hotel is probably one of the best ones. It is located minutes from the bridge. The AC worked well and the bed is comfortable.

Hotel has a lovely garden and pool. Enjoyed hearing the birds sing in the morning. Beds are comfortable. Room was immaculate. Located a block from the lagoon.
