We stayed in the luxury tents, it had all the benefits of camping (wild sounds, ocean air) with all the comfort of a chalet (king size bed, lights, power points, wardrobe) & a private bathroom & self catering kitchen area (both open air, but private). The breakfast at the restaurant was amazing everyday, the staff were really attentive & welcoming. You have an incredible view of the ocean from the restaurant. Although a bit of a walk down and up the hill to get to the beach, I'm sure a bit strenuous to some, I enjoyed it and it made the drink at the top even more special. On Christmas day, the staff did a fantastic pork spit roast which was exceptional. I cannot speak more highly of this place & the people who work there.

Owners, Beverly and Mandy went out of their way. Service exceptional. Felt like a second home, very welcoming. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to provide the best service ever. Tony, for your amazing meals. Elzia for your fast and efficient service. Chico for your service, dropping and picking up, always with a smile. In Jauary 2025 I stayed there for only 3 nights, but i would have liked to stay longer. The staff in particular Sean were incredibly friendly, helpful with information and calm. Sean is a very interesting man and I got a lot of information even before i arrived. I liked talking to him and learned a little more about Mozambique. I felt very welcome. The complex is close to the beach and centrally located for exploring Ponta do Ouro and like a little green oasis. The tent was very large and comfortable, i was lucky to see some different geckos, big snails and a little green snake. The Wifi in the common aera is very good. Also the the breakfast and lunch was very yummy, they even offer free coffee, tea and water all day. I would come back, clear recommendation***

    Get ready to deflate your car tyres and sink your toes into the sand and soak up the breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean at this stunning property! The surrounding area is a sandy haven, perfect for barefoot strolls. Be prepared for a scenic hike down a dune to reach the beach, but trust me, it's absolutely worth it! The beach itself is a tropical paradise, with crystal-clear blue waters and locals offering rejuvenating massages. You will find beach tents and chairs for hire, all you need to bring is your towel. Just a heads up: the tent guys only take cash (R200 for a tent and 2 chairs in our case), but they happily accept both Mozambican currency and South African Rand. On a brighter note, the beach bar accepts card payments, so you can sip on your favorite drinks without a hitch. Whether you are a hiking enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing beach day, this spot has got you covered! The property serves a delicious breakfast and unbelievably tasty seafood for dinner.

    Ponta Malongane is lovely.

    Ponta Malongane is lovely. The beaches are lovely and clean and the people are very friendly. We went out on a boat and saw dolphins and whales, it was great. The pao's (Portuguese for "bread") is lovely and the housekeeper at Alfie's House brought us a few pao's every morning, which were enjoyed by all.

    The kind of place that grows on you.

    The kind of place that grows on you. The roads are very sandy in places so deflate your tires and you will manage well. 4x4 is not a must but certainly preferable. The road to Ponta Malongane is a track mostly but follow the directions and ask the locals as you go... They are very helpful

    Good food.

    Good food. Friendly people It's quite difficult to get to so I would advise driving from South Africa as opposed to flying. The shuttles are quite expensive so economically it makes more sense to drive as its not that far from the South African border.
