NetherlandsThe most amazing thing about this lodge is the location. The tented rooms are built on the crest of a dune, with a beautiful view over the desert and with enough privacy from the next tent. You have to drive a couple of kilometers on a sandy track to reach the room but it is totally doable even with a normal car. The bathroom is separated from the tent by a wooden bridge and very basic but that is part of the experience, it is a desert camp, after all! The temperature really dropped in the night but the lodge provided thick blankets so it was not cold to sleep. The staff were lovely, the food was good (you have to drive back to the reception for dinner and breakfast, or it is also possible to walk, if you fancy it). We only stayed one night and arrived quite late in the afternoon, so didn't have time to enjoy the pool or to try any of the activities that they offer.
