A very warm welcome by the hosts, felt like I was a distant cousin coming to visit them. They were enthusiastic to explain everything about their place in Haren. On the property there was a small but lively garden which had a pond with tiny red fish swimming in it. Room itself was bigger than I expected and had a kitchen in it. Complimentary tea and coffee were included. For this price you cannot get a better deal near Groningen.

Excellent location, near shopping area and restaurants - hotel also has a restaurant at the ground floor which is convenient. Very clean room, with a very comfortable bed and coffee maker. Breakfast was adequate, coffee was great.

The hotel was located in a quiet corner of Groningen old city. It is a former monastery that is surrounded by gardens and within walking distance of the Martini Tower and the old town. I really enjoyed my room that had a great view of the garden. It was spacious and comfortable and had a great bathroom attached. I also enjoyed the minibar which was included. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
