We are family of 4 with young kids. Its a perfect and clean hotel specially for those who come by car. Also most suitable for those who have to catch flight. A beautiful canal close to hotel which is a treat to visit. Every required facility available in room and breakfast really good. Free car parking is a plus. We visited Amsterdam by car and parked at a garage near central station. Reception guy also gave me an extra hour to check out. Hotel exceeded my expectations.

I stayed at YOTELAIR Amsterdam Schiphol during a 21-hour layover while traveling with my 1-year-old child, and I have to say it was a great experience despite some of the mixed online reviews I had read beforehand. Yes, the price is on the higher side, but it’s worth it for the convenience and comfort it provides. After a long flight, being able to relax in a private and quiet space was a game changer—much better than trying to get some rest on airport chairs, especially with a little one in tow. The compact, cabin-like rooms were surprisingly well-designed and made the most of the space available. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and well-maintained. It provided everything we needed for a short stay, including a clean bathroom and even a space to stretch out and play with my child. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, which added to the overall positive experience. The location, right inside the terminal, made it incredibly convenient, especially when traveling with a toddler. If you’re looking for luxury, this may not be the place for you, but if you value practicality, rest, and privacy during a long layover, I would definitely recommend YOTELAIR. I’ll gladly stay here again if I have a similar stopover in the future.

Wonderful hotel at a pleasant price. It has everything you need: a private shower, soft and comfortable beds. The reception staff are very friendly and attentive to guests. I especially appreciated the wake-up call service before my flight. The location is quiet and peaceful, allowing you to have a great rest before a flight or during a layover.

Between Dutch Windmills and Flowers

The gateway to the Netherlands, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is one of the world’s busiest international passenger terminals and is home to the Dutch national airline – KLM.

The airport sits on reclaimed land around 3 metres below sea level on the site of a former huge inland lake. In fact, the name Schiphol may mean 'ship grave', a reference to the ships that would periodically be sunk in its turbulent waters.

A train station serving many Dutch cities lies beneath the terminal building which houses a mini Rijksmuseum exhibition, reference library with multilingual books, and plenty of shops selling the ubiquitous clogs, tulip bulbs and cheese.

Booking.com’s range of Schiphol Airport hotels includes several within the airport grounds. Others are in neighbouring Hoofddorp, a town also within the area of the former lake, whose De Eersteling windmill overlooks a dike encircling a former fort.

Another windmill – the Molen van Sloten – is across a canal from Badhoevedorp on the airport’s north side. To the east the huge Amsterdamse Bos forest is a haven of peace and tranquillity (apart from the occasional aircraft!) and borders Amstelveen. To the south-west is Aalsmeer, a town set on the huge Westeinderplassen Lake, and whose massive flower auction house receives daily consignments from all over the world.

    If you are passing through Schiphol, it's usually good.

    If you are passing through Schiphol, it's usually good. They have a speed track for those making connections with a short layover at passport control. However, in the summer, they get lots of thunderstorms, and so flights don't often arrive on time. If you get stuck there, the Dutch are not particularly warm or helpful, so expect a calloused response to any requests for help, particularly from KLM and the border agents at passport control who seem suspicious about why you are in Amsterdam in the first place.

    In spite of the convenient location, and decent ammenities, there were issues with early gaining access to our room, no hot water on the bathroom sink, on both our visits, logging onto the wi-fi network, and confusion among assigned accommodation.

    Probably one of the best airport in my opinion.

    Probably one of the best airport in my opinion. Not big nor too small just the right size. Schipol Airport connects you to get to Amstredam Central by Train or Bus. Trains are extremely convenient and it's located inside the airport terminal. You don't have to leave the airport for anything. Lots and lots of good restaurant at budget price. I love coffee and generally the airport pricing are exhorbitant, in Schipol Airport the price was exactly the same as else where. Stay close to the airport

    Very luxurious hotel very close to Schiphol airport. On foot it is about 10 minutes to the departure hall and even closer to Schiphol plaza. Check in was very efficient and we were welcomed nicely. We had a a view on Schiphol airport but the rooms were still very quiet and spacious. The bathroom was also very luxurious.

    Sheraton Amsterdam Airport has probably the best location of any hotel in reference to it's terminal and offers a short walk to the terminal. Rooms were spacious, strong wifi with a very comfortable bed and shower. Had a great view over the terminal to spot aircraft and an excellent starter of my holidays.

    This hotel was, as described, just a short walk from Arrivals at Amsterdam airport so it was certainly a convenient location. The room was very clean. The blinds were excellent at keeping out the light.
