This is a fantastic location with some of the more interesting hiking and climbing routes in Norway, near the Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark. We choose the accomodation in the "Swiss chalet" and this allow us to save a lot of money :-) without losing the magnificence of the place and additional services provided by the hotel like for example the very good dinner (one of the best we have in Norway). The Chalet is really beautiful and extremely functional. Clean and full of services, like the shower and the drying room.

Beautiful and peaceful setting overlooking the fjord. Spotlessly clean, great kitchen with everything you could need. Made to feel very welcome when we arrived. Would loved to have stayed longer to explore the area.

Our stay at Nes Gard was exceptional in every way. The room was lovely. The view of the fjord and the waterfall across the fjord was stunning. The breakfast was delicious, with many options provided. Nes Gard rates a perfect 10 for us in every way.

Lovely service to serve us some dinner after we arrived after the kitchen was closed. Rooms are cozy as well. Breakfast were also very good here. Good starting point for some nice tours.

The place had two beds, albeit very narrow ones, a shower, a kettle and a heater to dry our clothes. We had what we needed but nothing much else. However, in the area, it was a reasonable price for crashing for the night.
