The best thing about it was the location on the hill with the most amazing views of the fjord. It was a short, very scenic, walk along the river down the hill to the village. Can’t fault this hotel - breakfast was also great

The stay was very nice. You have everything you need in your cabin. The campsite is the quiet. We even got a grill for free and were able to buy everything we needed for grilling in the Joker supermarket in town. The owners are super friendly, warm and helpful. Our cabin, showers and toilets were very clean. The possibility to wash and dry our clothes was also very good. We got stuck in the soft gravel with our car and the owner kindly pulled us out with his tractor. For a small fee we were taken by boat directly to the small jetty at Skageflå from where we walked up the steps to the old farm and then down the hill back to Geiranger. All in all, great value for money with a direct view of Geiranger. I can really recommend it.

Great location 3 mins on fairly straight road to town. My premium cabin was recently renovated and has an oven, 4 hops, microwave, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. However had to use a communal dryer but they did provide a clothes drying frame if we wanted to dry in the sun instead. These appliances allow us to have our own breakfast and dinner which is a good saving. All in a great place to stay.

Spectacularly beautiful location with a variety of activities to engage and appreciate the surrounding natural beauty. A smorgasbord of walks with majestic views of the fjord and surrounding mountains to cater for all abilities. A ferry ride on the fjiord and a kayaking trip gave a water view perspective of the sheer cliff edges and numerous waterfalls. Byserk Burgers was a great spot to refuel after a solid walk.

It's a beautiful fjord, but because of that also very touristy and busy. There'll be a cruise ship coming in every other day filled to the brim with people that will flood out the town and surrounding hiking trails. I'd suggest a 1-2 day visit here to see the area and the nature and then maybe move a bit further in Mørre og Romsdal to experience the nature and surroundings without all the tourists.

It was nice to stay two nights in Geiranger. The natural beauty of the place was so calming for the soul. We booked a RIB tour of the fjord and a private 4 hour car hire to explore the hair pin turns and views of the fjord. We were lucky to have the day to ourselves without cruise ships in port. They crowds definitely take away from the peace and quiet and the sublime beauty of the place

IMO, a minimum of 3 days at Geiranger (incase if there are a day or two of rain/clouds). It is a place of nature and ideally the place is best enjoyed through hikes or kayaks or boats etc. There are trails of every difficulty levels and durations.

Amazing view of Geiranger fjord. We hired a motorboat at reception for 2 hours which was perfect to tour the fjord. The staff on site were amazing. This was the best customer service we had in Norway. September was a great month to visit. It rained one day which made the waterfalls more impressive. The next morning, we woke up to blue sky and snow on the top of the mountains. The cabin was absolutely spotless and the bathroom beautiful, equipped with a rain shower.

Staff were fantastic - made you feel welcome from the moment you arrived. Location cannot be beaten - the view is outstanding, and it's the right distance away from the main town, which can be a bit chaotic. Lovely breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Rooms were spacious and clean. Spa with a view, clean shared laundry facilities.

Norway is beautiful, and this location is no exception. It has a nice view of the Geiranger fjord, and there are 2 small waterfalls within the compound. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was ok for us (family of 5). Remember it's a cabin for travelers, naturally not as fancy as hotel, but worth the money.
