Fantastic breakfast, excellent dinner, amazing surroundings, very attentive stuff, polite and hospitable. simple well furnished comfortable room, very clean . A beautiful dining room, and beautiful lounges. The hotel is very clean. The staff all speak well English so the communication waseasy.

Second time visit here, I'll say the yard is one of the best spot of hardanger fjord. Renovated room is very clean and huge. Also with coffee/tea facilities and a fridge, which used to have none. Like it very much. Had three nights buffet dinner. The qarm dishes and pastries changed daily. Has a huge variety of seafood and pastries. Comparing to last time I visited, the food imporved a lot. But I do missed the harp live performance. The basement (ground floor) changed but still have a lot to explore. You can find lots of stories belonging to Edvard Grieg and history of this hotel there. There are also several seating area, each with different kinds of feeling. The atmosphere is fantastic. I tried playing my instrument in one of the area in a rainy day and love it.

So pleasantly surprised! Our room was brand new, modern and clean, the bed was very comfortable, lots of space and nice view. The breakfast was nice, plenty of options and the staff was friendly. Overall, great expeerience and great value for money.
