Very charming villa located in a very charming village in Sognefjord. The villa was in general very well kept and executed. It was all the small details that impressed us: comfortable beds, good bathrooms and showers, very clean, good locks on individual rooms, code lock on main entry, high quality kitchen utensils and cutlery for everyone to use. You could really see the villa wasn't cheaply put together to make an extra buck, but that they've really put in the effort. Also the gardens around were amazing, little streams of water and fountains with a lot of flowers and plants here and there, with several sitting groups for people to use. The staff was very friendly especially the French girl who made us eggs and bacon in the morning. Owned by a very nice couple.

The cabins are just perfect! Our cabin was super clean and warm with a breathtaking view of the lake. There is also a small cabin filled with toys that my girls loved and spent the whole day playing there! The owner of the cabins was very polite and welcomed us with a smile! We loved it and hope to come back!

Our stay at Nes Gard was exceptional in every way. The room was lovely. The view of the fjord and the waterfall across the fjord was stunning. The breakfast was delicious, with many options provided. Nes Gard rates a perfect 10 for us in every way.

    It is a very small place but ideal to visit Urnes stavechurch, a total must and very easy to reach with the ferry which connects Solvorn with the opposite side of the Lustrafjord (actually part of the Sogneford).

    Villa Solvorn is like a little slice of grandmother chic, at least from our perspective. A gloriously eclectic house in a gingerbread house village. The rooms are spotless. Oskar and his staff are very cordial. You have to be prepared to share a bathroom in the inn but they are all very nice, one with a proper bathtub. It was strangely a bit quiet in late August so we sort of had the place to ourselves. Take the ferry to Urnes to see the see the stave church.

    Solvorn is a lovely place and the Villa Solvorn was in a great location, especially as we came by public transport. Breakfast was freshly prepared for us by a lovely French woman. Everything was very clean. Only one other couple staying when we were there and they were lovely too.
