Levin is a great little town on the main State Highway 1 out of Wellington heading north. It's a small country town, that has very friendly locals, and some lovely quirky country arts/crafts stores, and nice cafes for coffee and lunch. Motels which are on the main State Highway one can be busy...
Motels which are on the main State Highway one can be busy and unless adequately sound proofed you should try and avoid them or use ear plugs for sleeping, also the speed limit determines the degree of road traffic noise and also the main rail line runs through the town and at least 3 freight train thunder through during the night which are as noisy as the trucks.Guest review byJohnNew Zealand

As I had booked online and not directly through her she very kindly and unexpectedly refunded us $20 that the online site had charged us for our 1 year old son and she also gave our dog some doggy treats for her stay. Jewel is definitely a wonderful person and the room, especially the beds made for a very comfortable stay.
