There wasn't many attraction in Paeroa.
There wasn't many attraction in Paeroa. We managed to visit their beach and hot mineral bath. in the area. Thankfully we had also found Paeroa Bed and Breakfast accomodation. It is a small town, handy to the Karangahake gorge, and not too far from the Miranda Shorebird centre near Thames which we also visited. The L&P bottle is worth a photo, but we didn't explore too much else. There is a good supermarket and takeaways. I did use the local swimming pool ($2) to cool off during the summer heat. We used to live in Paeroa many years ago. The Refinery is a lovely place to go for a meal, or perhaps for more casual eating for a family the L&P Cafe We were there looking at houses, as we were looking to move back.
