Very clean and tastefully equipped! My room was spacious with wonderful view on the mountains and the village square. I slept like a baby, it’s very peaceful at night. Staff is extremely friendly, Marta (the owner) was responsive and available for all my requests. There is a little surprise drink, which is a very nice touch. Breakfast with pastry, bread and coffee/tea is in the restaurant in the same building, and parking for free is on the side.

The views are spectacular and the room had a lovely balcony. Very comfy beds and great size bathroom. Dining area pretty and dinner was excellent. There are some pretty walks you can do from the property.

Hotel was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful. Views over the Serra da Estrela from our balcony and panoramic restaurant did not disappoint. Breakfast included which was buffet style and had a very good selection. Plenty of onsite parking. Enjoyed our reasonably priced evening meal at the hotel.

Cute little guest house close to the historic centre and with everything you need for a couple nights (or more) stay. Room and bathroom were spotless clean, comfy mattresses, a shared equipped kitchen and common room. Thanks to an oven in the living room and AC in the bedroom it was even during cold winter days and nights pleasently warm. And thank you to Marcela - the extremely welcoming and friendly owner!

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at TheVagar Countryhouse in Portugal, and I must say it was an absolutely enchanting experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and genuine smiles, setting the tone for a truly memorable stay. 
The location was straight out of a fairytale. Surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque countryside views, we felt like we had stepped into a tranquil oasis. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Our room was like a cozy haven, blending traditional Portuguese charm with all the modern comforts we needed. The bed was super comfy, and we slept like babies every night. The attention to detail was evident, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches that made us feel so pampered. The breakfast, oh my goodness, the breakfast! Each morning was a delightful culinary adventure, and we couldn't get enough of the flavors and freshness. It was a real treat for our taste buds! The best part, though, was the people. The staff at TheVagar Countryhouse were simply amazing. They were friendly, helpful, and genuinely passionate about their beautiful region. They had fantastic recommendations for onsite activities (don’t miss out the jeep tour & picnic !) & interesting sites nearby (visit of Sortelha was our highlight !). We took full advantage of the lovely facilities at the country house. Whether we were lazing by the gorgeous infinity pool, having relaxing massage outdoor, strolling through the charming surrounding of the property, or just lounging in the sun with a good book, we felt totally at peace. Leaving TheVagar Countryhouse was bittersweet; we didn't want to say goodbye to this little piece of paradise. We left feeling refreshed and relaxed. In short, if you're looking for a slice of heaven in Portugal, TheVagar Countryhouse is the place to be. It's a hidden gem that stole our hearts, and we can't wait to go back.

Super friendly host, room was very clean and parking was absolutely fantastic, we were the only ones staying that night so we were able to park very close to our room. Breakfast the next morning was delicious too! The 2 cute dogs were a great addition to our welcome 😁 Perfect rest stop before heading out to Serra da Estrella 🏔️
