It is a traditional Portuguese rural cottage that has been brought up to modern standards but still retains its original charm. We were greeted by a friendly couple who explained where to park the car on the property and how to use the secure gate. and what to do with the keys when we finish. they only speak Portuguese but that was not a problem to us. There is a nice modern, full size gas stove. The weather was very hot but the thick walls keep it cool inside. A nice modern bathroom with plenty of hot water. Like many rural cottages the tap water is not for drinking, but we bought some 6 litre bottles of water in the supermarket at Monchique for just 75 cents each!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa dos Ninos as a family. The rooms were cozy, clean, and very comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The breakfasts were delicious, with a nice variety of options. Most of all, the hosts, Stacey and Luc, were incredibly welcoming and kind. They made us feel at home from the very first moment. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Very nice hotel, lots of room to walk around and good breakfast. When I decided to run in the early morning, I was followed by an adorable red dog that lives on the territory of the hotel. And this dog ran with me all 21 km. cheerfully and easily, after that we became friends with him. So, here even dogs help guests to have a good time!

Fantastic place, low on civilization and commercialism. Contact with nature, wonderful birdsong, evening concerts of crickets and cicadas. Wonderful animals, amazing experiences in bathing in a natural lake with very friendly fish. Outdoor kitchen, all dishes tasted delicious. Beautiful view of the hills covered with cork oaks.
