We had a lovely time - everyone was super nice, the side view to the ocean was gorgeous, and the food was good as well. The hotel is 15 min by Uber/Bolt from Funchal center, but there was also a free shuttle bus.

The staff, especially Olena, went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. Although I hadn’t booked my tour in advance, she managed to arrange a car with a very knowledgeable driver for the entire day. Francisco from the restaurant was also incredibly helpful and kind. The massage was amazing,and last but not least,the manager was so welcoming and genuinely cared about making sure I had the best time possible. The property is situated 20 minutes from downtown, offering a serene and peaceful environment. While this may pose a challenge for guests without a car, taxis are readily available at all hours.

This hotel is very close to the sea-front (10 minutes) and even closer to the centre. Santa Cruz is a delightful village with everything one needs to have a lovely time, excellent restaurants, a beautiful promenade and good bus-service to Funchal. The hotel was very comfortable, clean and offered a good variety of food at breakfast. Rooms were very spacious and spotless. We were very pleased with our choice.

Location is better than perfect, sound of ocean right into your ear. Loveliest people work there, family business, good breakfast, very accommodating. On -1 floor there is a living area with sofas and several tables, very near to wifi router, a perfect place if need to work remotely. I was having video zoom meeting with no problem at all.

Lovely place, great location and the pool was lovely. The staff were so friendly and even booked me a taxi when I was struggling on bolt. I would definitely come back here again!

We really liked the following: the relaxed atmosphere, the very child-friendly staff, the small playground next to the hotel and the activities offered for children, the spacious family room with separate bedroom and kitchen unit and of course the excellent and varied food - especially the dessert (I have rarely eaten such delicious cakes). Lovely property! Absolute sanctuary with beautiful gardens and a pool. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. We slept very well (😉) - thanks Berta for all your hospitality! Some great restaurants close by. The in house wine bar was also amazing! Free easy parking also.
