Everything was exceptionally good 😊 helping stuff, was no problem to get into the apartment, and at the end of our staying we could leave our baggage for 4 hours longer then the check out time. The apartment was very clean, cozy, very comfortable bed, all the necessary supplies, even a bottle of red local wine😉👍🍷 different small authentic details of the house design made it very special. I enjoyed staying there, at the real Portuguese house, great atmosphere. From the airport there's a 30min Bolt-ride, for about 30€. Apartment is 15min walk from the local beach, about 5 min to the big supermarket,farmacy and bus station where you take a bus to Funchal only for 3€. Right across the street there is a nice coffee shop with very tasty croissants and cappuccino with very affordable prices. Beautiful sightseeing spot with the other nice beach and a cable car is about 10 min bolt-ride from the apartment.

Excellent location both to explore the island and visit the town. Quiet and peaceful area. A supermarket just round the corner. The town centre with a few good restaurant within the walking distance. The apartment itself very well equipped, clean and specious. Convenient parking space in the garage.

    Great local place.

    Great local place. I am very glad I have not spend the time in Funchal. From here I could explore the whole island and had my peace in the evening but with vibrant Sunday as all the locals come to town for their coffee and markets.

    The nature and surroundings are just stunning.

    The nature and surroundings are just stunning. It is so much to see around, people are so friendly and happy to help. Loved it, however could not do it without rental car. We hired large family car, however next time we would go for something smaller as roads are narrow and parking in the town could be challenging in the large car.

    The villa is wonderful for those with a vehicle and ability/desire to drive up the mountain - we found this particularly fun. There a number of stairs so check which villa you get - some have just 4 stairs some have 150 but all very quiet, private and beautiful.

    We used Ribeira Brava as a base for exploring walks in the west of Madeira using the local buses. It is a modern town in a narrow valley and lacks the charms of Funchal. However, it has a several eating places, shops and a small sheltered beach. It is a hub for a number of bus routes.

    I only have positives information to share.

    I only have positives information to share. There was a coffee bar a 5 minute walk from the hostel - D Luis Restaurante- delicious local feed- skewers on a Laurel stick with chunks of delicious local beef . Difficult to get around without a car. Next time I shall rent a car.

    Public transport in Madeira is a pain, so if you don't drive, it's not easy to get here. Bus information are lacking or are not very clear. Ribeira Brava is a quiet, cozy place, where you can have good restaurants, supermarket and can start nice trips from here.

    We liked everything to be honest. Nice, well equipped apartment, not too far from a lovely black-sanded beach of Ribeira Brava. There were a minor issues with broadband and shower that, thanking to Hugo and Joana were fixed immidiately and we had quick broadband and hot showers. Jacuzzi was also a good addition to our great experience.
