Everything was wonderful, definitely recommended! The communication with the host was very easy. The flat was clean and nice, exactly as described. The view of the ocean and Pico was breathtaking! A beautiful natural pool is very close by.

This was my second stay in AzoresDream. In my favourite room I feel already like at home. Julia and her husband are perfect hosts. In this house you will have everyting you need. Rooms are simple and perfectly clean. In the common area there is a kitchen and fridge. I like the location of the house. Velas is rather small so from the house you will have short distance to all main points: the port, the natural swimming area, church and restaurants. Do not miss the lovely public garden of Velas. I can recommend Azores Dream and I hope I will have opportunity to come back one day to SaoJorge island and sleep again in my favourite room. Thank you Julia! If anyone dream about Azores I think I can even be already your guide ;) It is place worth to visit. Find me and I will show you the magic :)

    Velas was a nice quite town. There is lots to see and do.

    Velas was a nice quite town. There is lots to see and do. Great hotels and friendly staff. There is a "pool" downtown at the seawall within the ocean due to rocks that have been placed, so you can swim. They have a stage where artists and singers can perform. Lots of cute shops with great merchansie to purchase, with easy streets to walk through. Lots of cobbled stones, so wear comfortable shoes. Great restaurants down cute little streets and lots of friendly people who want to help you regardless if you can speak portuguese or not.

    The apartment was really modern compared to most places in the Azores. Great view with a large covered patio with a bbq which included charcoal and wood. There is a washer located on the covered patio. The rooms were spacious and all had AC. One of the rooms also had a loft with an additional sleeping area in addition to the main bed. Great location which was in walking distance to most of Velas and nearby by Boss Burger and a Chinese Restaurant.

    I had intended to scout the rest of the island more, but a frustrating trip from home left me less than enegetic = still, I had never been to Velas before and there was plenty to see for a couple of days withoit leaving town. HInt: visit the Land and Sea museum.

    Amazing place. Completely stocked small supermarket. Chinese store had an amazing selection of clothes, electronics, etc. Restaurants were wonderful. Everyone we meet was helpful and friendly. Go to the lagoon on the otherside of the island - heavenly. Better hydranga lined roads and fields than Sao Miguel. Call Ramos for taxi service - he is my cousin.

    Piscina Natural Simao Dias, the most beautiful natural pool in the Azores. I would recommend it to others. I traveled around the island on a rented scooter. But I thought it was safer to use a car.

    Velas is a lovely little town on Sao Jorge.

    Velas is a lovely little town on Sao Jorge. It isn't large but has everything you need for a week on tge island. There are several natural swimming pools with free umbrellas and shower/changing facilities (the fact they're free unlike so many places is really good). The restaurants we ate in were really good serving local produce with good value for money. The rest of the island has the spectacular scenery and Velas is a good place to base yourself to see it.

    Hotel was a bit hidden away through some very small streets, but is located at a beautiful location. From the hotel there is a very nice view over the ocean, and you can see the other islands (Pico and Faial) in the distance. Very friendly staff that gave us good recommendations for places to visit on the island, and were also very helpful during the serving of the breakfast. The hotel also has a restaurant, which serves some good dinner for not too much money.
