Run by the sweetest people, who make the most incredible food. Don't just arrive hungry to meals, arrive ravenous! And don't fill up on the first course, because there will be more, and more, and more! Such a peaceful location with lots of great hiking and interesting spots like castles, caves, and disappearing lakes. We fell in love with Slovenia here - can't recommend enough!

Everything like us. You have everything for comfortable stay. The owner is very very kind. We traveled all day and was to late, but he waited for us and gave us the coordinates for a restaurant where we can eat. At the next day we had a birthday and he send us the location from where we can buy a cake. We make a wonderful surprise to grandma. Thank you for everything! It was fantastic.

This property has 2 flats and as a group of 4 we rented both. Lovely modern bright apartments in the little village of Dolenje Jezero near Cerknica. We were surprised at how large the apartment was, very well equipped and great value for money. Our hosts were really kind and helpful and on hand for any queries. There is a lot of cycling and walking around here with great cycle tracks around the lake. We were there primarily to see the intermittent lakes and the local wild flowers. The lake was very full as there had been so much rain in May, it would be interesting to see what it looks like in the summer when it has all drained into the karst system below. There is a lot to do in the surrounding area and we could have stayed longer than 2 nights.

This is a true gem, the host Mojca is absolutely amazing, I only stayed for 1 night but I'll sure as hell stay there again when I'm in the area. Homemade sourdough bread and 100% organic scrambled eggs for breakfast ❤️

This apartment has anything you could need. It is fully furnished with a full kitchen and bathroom. My dog and I had a fantastic stay over new years! The host is the sweetest and made sure we were well taken care of! The town itself is very small and cute, and it is within driving distance of the capital and the famous Slovenian caves! The apartment is very nice, it consists of a kitchen and a living room and 2 bedrooms: 1 normal bedroom and 1 small bedroom for children, a big bathroom and a small space outside the building to drink a cup of coffee. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need, they also provide salt, sugar, tea, coffee, spices as well as washing powder and liquid for a dishwasher. It was clean and cosy and the host is nice and communicative. We recommend the place.

    Cerknica is nothing impressive, it has some charms of many other small Slovenian towns, but nothing to be especially remembered for. But as a start point for interesting and beautiful sightseeing and adventures it can be considered one of the best in (and not limited to) Slovenia.

    It's a nice place to crash for a night, not sure if I would stay longer. The location is in the middle of an industrial district, so you can hear a bit of noise coming from the factories around you, but it quiets down in the evening. The room is simple but fulfilled my needs. The staff was super helpful in pointing out nice places to go for a swim in Lake Cerknica nearby, which was incredibly beautiful in the sunset.

    Staff very hard working and lovely, especially the women. Simple but good food in evening, great breakfast, best view in the area from the main deck as well as our room. The hotel is situated on a beautiful mountain. On the substantial drive up there we saw foxes and hares. It’s in de midst of nature and nice and quiet.

    All of it. Run by Maria and her husband, who were both welcoming and hospitable. The village is an oasis of charm with amenities, a short walk, or a cycle ride away. For a little slice of rural Slovenia, it is well worth the visit.
