The rooms are stunning- spacious and beautiful design. The bed was very comfortable too. The bathtub in the room was a very nice touch. The staff were amazing, always polite and friendly. The restaurant could also accommodate my gluten-free diet for breakfast. This was one of our best hotel experiences ever.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

The most spectacular place I have stayed at during my visit to Zanzibar. Did not realise the room did not have it's private bathroom upon booking, but that was not a problem at all, since this hotel is so convenient, clean and well kept. Local soap bars that were gifted to us was such a pleasant surprise, as well as delicious welcome drinks, incredible breakfast. Could not recommend this place enough, how pleased we were with everything.

Staff were friendly, right from the shuttle driver to housekeeping. They gave recommendations on recreational activities and facilitated them kindly. It was a brief stay but a wonderful one. The room was large and clean with a comfortable bed. The pool area was gorgeous and lush for an airport hotel.

We are a family of 6. After notifying reservations of our arrival time, we were welcomed at 2am with smiling staff. Ismail at reception and the porters were so friendly at that hour! Sameer was our waiter and he was incredible. The guest relations manager is friendly and informative at Breakfast time, advising guests of tour options. Rooms are spacious with newly renovated bathrooms. The location was perfect with a beautiful view of the hustling harbour at breakfast. All the staff were friendly from housekeeping, the breakfast staff to the chef, they were amazing. Enjoyed pizza and ice-cream on the rooftop after sunset. We then moved on to a resort on the island, and my kids immediately said that the staff can't compare to Mizingani's friendly staff. Thank you for the beautiful memories. Asante sana

The front office staff are simply the best!!! I could not remember all of them but they were all helpful, accommodating and were able to maintain control despite the busy period. The location is superb for old city.
