United StatesIt is beautiful inside. The book in the room tells you where everything is pool fitness, restaurant.Air conditioning was perfect as were the beds and cleanliness. Liked that it had a coffee maker. Easy to find. Just off Homer Adams so easy to get out of town when ready.It was quiet also

Finding out the history of Alton was a real eye-opener. To know that Alton was one of the safe havens for the underground railroad during the times of Slavery that negros found safety and help from the locals, was heart warming. That one of the tallest men, Robert Wadlow was a native. We were there for a baseball tournament and if we won we would need to stay another night, but unfortunately they wouldn’t let us stay another night since the carpets were getting replaced on another floor so we had to go to a different hotel.
