Centennial is a small mountain town.
Centennial is a small mountain town. There is an historic building across the street (used to be a hotel) GREAT breakfast, lunch and coffee drinks. The best part is the location, right on the border of the Medicine Bow national forest. We should have eaten breakfast in Centennial on our last day before heading out because there was no place to eat breakfast until we reached Walton.

Town shuts down M - W except for one bar which may or may not get their food truck. So bring your own just incase.
Gas station was out of ice but we got some at The Post Bar.
Eveybody at every place we stopped was VERY friendly.
DO NOT ORDER TROUT AT BEAR BOTTOM GRILL - unless you like sushi. But do take advantage of their roof-top patio and the dice game.
Rumor has it The Post has the best food (closed when we were there) and their bar is where to hang out if you want to get to know the locals.
Ice cream is amazing at the country market (unsure of name - on S side of highway). Recommend the Salted Carmel malt with extra carmel sauce.
The gal at the post office is super nice. They have seed filled post cards at the market on the west side of town near the post office.
The town dog is very friendly but really wants to go into the bar to mingle with all the people.
Do NOT attempt to drive to the top of Centennial Ridge in a Dodge Charger. Use an ATV instead.
