We stayed here because we had a 10:30am flight out of Anchorage and it was close enough for us to get to the airport, and far better than staying in some crummy Anchorage hotel. I was surprised at the cleanliness of the venue and how new it was. Sadly, we had little more than enough time to just sleep here and go. I wish we could have stayed for more than one night. We did, however, enjoy some ice cream and a short walk to the lake before we retired.

This property was noisy since it is right off a main road.

This property was noisy since it is right off a main road. The room we stayed in was an assortment of "updates" - had patch work walls, no light cover on one of the lights. I would say it wasn't the worse place we have ever stayed but not the best (specially for the price we paid). We didn't get much sleep the first night since it was hot, and we couldn't turn off the heaters or open the windows (due to the noise).

Liked that there was a bar/restaurant right there.

Liked that there was a bar/restaurant right there. They had an out door area for dining or drinking with a firepit. Disappointed that there were not two bedrooms as stated in listing and rooms were 48 degrees and had to be heated with small space heaters which took forever to warm up the space. Cabin was very clean though. The water in the bathroom kept going from hot to cold and was not consistent. Loft area adults could not sit upright on the mattress. There was carpet on the floor up there none on the main floor which for us was no big deal. Not sure if the beds were actually queen or not they seemed very small to us. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great for the fishermen.

This is one of several lodges along the highway.

This is one of several lodges along the highway. It has all the needed amenities, if you book the "deluxe" cabin. Smaller cabins are very simple, just a place to sleep with no facilities. Our cabin was comfy if small, fine for three people. The store, roadhouse, and beer garden were all cheerful. Locals are colorful and friendly. Plenty of fishing, hiking, and river fun in the area.
