We were driving through Crescent to get to Crater Lake.

Very small town. Not far from Lapine. NOTHING to do in Crescent. If you want activities- stay in Lapine or closer to Bend. It would be OK-- if you were just passing thru and needed a bed for the night. One bar and one gas station. One drive thru coffee stand. Nothing else there. Crescent/Gilchrist is a very small, quiet community nestled in the forest area. It has the necessities that you need to stay a while without traveling 17 miles to the nearest larger town of La Pine. This was a small motel - decorated very cute with a fishing theme. There was no carpet and bathroom was small. We had a little dog and he went crazy over the pet smells in the room.
