Best to stay away from 4th of July week end.
Best to stay away from 4th of July week end. Spent a lot of time stuck in traffic. Area cannot handle overload of visitor's during this holiday. Restaurants were overloaded as well. Wait times were excessive Had to scrap Washington Island tour. Cue. for car ferry was over 1 mile at Newport Ferry at 9 am July 4thGuest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Loved the restaurants....the lake....not alot of traffic...friendly people...very good food wherever we ate...getting around Ellison Bay very easy...more stores/shops/restaurants could have been opened but end of season so we understood where they were closed.
