I have stayed at this location many times in the past, so i know it well. I always get a smoking room, as there are few places that allow smoking in the area. The queen bed was adequate and the refrigerator and microwave both worked well. The shower worked well with plenty of hot water and the a/c was nice and cool in the daytime. The location is convenient to both Rt 91 north or south (within a minute). I guess this area isn't the best in the city and occasionally an unsavory character can be seen walking around, but I didn't nor have I ever experienced any problems. In fact, i originally booked my room for six nights, but needed to stay an additional night and the front desk person was very gracious on letting me stay in the same room even though i called him early on the morning i was originally due to leave back for Florida to extend my dtay an extra day.

Beautiful rooms - obviously recently done over. The bathroom especially - no bath with a dirty shower curtain. Just a new giant shower with big glass doors and lovely products within. Wish I was staying longer than 1 night.

    Enfield property is easy on/off Rt. 91.

    Enfield property is easy on/off Rt. 91. Large well-lit parking lot. A steakhouse is steps away. The malls are within walking distance. However, there are few sidewalks, crosswalks, or walk signals at the intersections. Could be unsafe for pedestrians as there aren't many, yet the neighbourhoods are safe.

    Planning a trip to Connecticut?

    Planning a trip to Connecticut? The state is so small that you can go to any border from the center in as little as an hour and a half. A centrally located B&B is the perfect recipe for your vacation. Not to mention one nice and close to an international airport. Antique 1242 is the perfect accommodation that fits the bill.

    The motel Red roof inn is so centrally located everything mostly is in walking distance from the motel which is great because some people don't have cars and at the same time it has a country atmosphere with a lot of nice people

    First room was not serviced or cleaned.

    First room was not serviced or cleaned. Wet rags on the bed- looked like something out of a dirty movie. Finally after I got my new room - the air conditioner was not working and wouldn’t turn off at all- the shower literally screamed- there was dry blood all over the walls- like what happened in this room? When was the last time any of the rooms have been maintained or really cleaned? The toliet also filled to the top with water every time I flushed- causing a mess. Will never stay again. Paid over 120 dollars for a room for one night- one person- but probably will have the bed bugs for a life time and any ghost left behind.

    Honestly, the hotel was the perfect accommodation for us. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and so clean. We went to visit relatives a short drive away so we didnt get to see the area. I saw many stores and restaurants in the area. I would definitely stay at this hotel when i revisit the area. The only negative was the breakfast and coffee. Not to my liking or taste. But that does not influence me to not come back.

    This is in a prime location for a traveler and feels just like home upon arrival. Helen recommended the fish and chips extra crispy at Champney’s in Deerfield as that was my next stop. And she was absolutely right. What lovely art is contained within! Homages to Pieter Bruegel! I hope I have a reason to fly to Hartford again so I can stay in Enfield.

    I did not have the breakfast, but I did love the location. It was close to 3 or 4 shopping plazas! I was able to get everything I needed all within 5 to 7 minutes from the hotel. Lastly, the lobby and staff were GREAT!

    Decent place to stay overnight that doesn’t break the bank. Good location for excursions into Springfield Mass area or around Granby/ Windsor locks area. Easy to find once you get off of I-91
